User A has shared line configured in Line 1 and Private extension is in Line 2. Several other users has BLF SD with his Line 2.

Can we make whatever line that user A picks up and busy with his phone that reflect other users BLF SD? Please advise.

You can configure the speed dial with BLF for other users just mentioned the number of user A     On other users which have SD with BLF  and provide the subscribe calling search space..

A BLF is a busy indicator off a line, aka a directory number, not a device. If you’d want to see the status of another line you’d need another BLF.

However you can probably translate one directory number to another with a translation pattern and have this visible in the CSS used as the Subscribe CSS that is utilised for presence information. For example like this.

  • DN 5555 that has no direct BLF
  • DN 1111 that has a direct BLF
  • Create two PTs, named DirectBLF_PT and IndirectBLF_PT, these are meant to just be used in the subscribe CSS. Put the indirect PT higher in the list of PTs in the CSS. Important to not have these PTs seen in any normal call routing CSS as that would break calling to 5555
  • Create a TP in the indirect PT that translate 5555 to 1111 and has the outbound CSS set to the same as the subscribe CSS
  • Create another TP in the direct PT that match all your directory numbers, for example XXXX and put the outbound CSS to a CSS that has visibility of all directory numbers

In theory this should let the BLF SD for DN 1111 also see line status of DN 5555. NB I have not tested this myself, but it should based on how this should operate likely work.
