Difference between SSM satellite Classic Edition vs Enhanced Edition

I am planning to implement Smart Satellite server...w are supporting 1 Pub + 8 Sub CUCM Cluster

Confusing over SSM satellite Classic Edition n Enhanced edition

I read some where Classic edition Scales to 4,000 product instances & Enhanced Edition Scales to 10,000 product instances.....

My query is Product instance definition is the number of devices communicating with Satellite server in my case this will be 9 (CUCM Cluster 1 Pub + 8 Sub) or the Total number of devices for which License are configured on Satellite server ie. In our cluster 6000 IP Phones are registered ..

I go with the which edition Classic or Enhanced ...

Re: Difference between SSM satellite Classic Edition vs Enhanced Edition

Hi,

Please see below differences between SSM Satellite Classic Edition vs Enhanced Edition:

SSM Satellite Classic EditionSSM Satellite Enhanced Edition
• Single Tenant – one customer (represented by
a Smart Account).
• Registration & Synchronization with CSSM
• Cent OS code base with similar UI as CSSM
• Single User Role with single authentication
methods (local database only)
• One portal for license and system management
• Limited management tools for troubleshooting
• 4K device scalability (10K with satellite 5.1)
• Multi-tenancy - support multiple Smart Accounts on
CSSM though a single management portal.
• Registration & Synchronization with CSSM
• CSSM code base with converge UI
• Multiple User Roles via multiple authentication
methods (LDAP, OAuth2, local)
• Separate Administration and License Workspaces
• License Hierarchy, Syslog, Proxy, etc.
• 10K with version 6.0, grow to 500K device
scalability
• Support hierarchical sub accounts (future)

As you see in this comparison, Classic Edition does support 10K devices with satellite 5.1. If you are not managing multiple customer and has only one smart account then you can go with SSM Satellite Classic Edition.
