Disable Instant Messaging on Jabber

Is there a way to disable just the instant messaging feature on Jabber? I want to see the status and do the calls but just not the messaging. Is that possible?

Yes, you can enable/disable IM on CUPS/IM&P, bear in mind it's a global setting.

No, this is an all or nothing switch. Either it's on, or it's off.
