Disable jabber chat message saving for windows on local machine

Hello,

I have on-prem Jabber deployment with persistent chat configured with add on sql server. I have mixture of user with Jabber with IM & P and JAbber with IMP and CTI control. In Jabber configuration file,  We have EnableAuto Save --> TRUE to save chat upon closure of chat windows. I have question regarding how do I disable chat saving locally on enduser machine under C:\Usere\%UserProfile%\Documents\MyJabberFiles

How can I disable saving Chat locally on machine?

Go to your IM&P server messaging settings and disable:

Allow clients to log instant message history (on supported clients only)

Thanks for prompt reply. Does it also disable archiving chat on external DB for compliance? I need to have chat history logged in database for compliance purpose.
