Does content of message get sent with push notification?
I am trying to determine if the content of a message gets sent as part of the push notification message for the Jabber clients on iOS, or if it's possible to configure the system to simply send a push message such as "You have a Jabber message from <name>, please open Jabber to see the content of this message."
We are a healthcare institution, and we cannot allow Protected Health Information (PHI) to go out of our control. Unfortunately, the servers that run the Apple Push Notification service (which is required to activate ANY push messages in iOS, other than directly through Exchange ActiveSync) are outside of that control.
This has become an issue with our current deployment of Microsoft Lync, since we cannot turn off the default behavior (sending the content of the message in the push notification), and I am hoping that the Jabber configuration is more savvy.
