Enable "custom contact" for Jabber client 11.7

Dear All,

Does anyone know how to enable the option "new custom contact" on Jabber client (vers. 11.7)?

This option is not available on the client. I try to enable this but I don't know where this parameter can be activated.

CUCM is On-Prem deployment version 11

Hi Jaime,

Jabber for windows but this is not with outlook integration. We use Google mail and calendar.

Jabber is deployed on the cloud and CUCM on Prem.

did you get this resolved?

You should be able to just click Tools|File|New|Custom Contact.

Hi,

In my Jabber I can only see on there Tools|FIle|New|Custom Tab
There is no Custom Contact selection available
I’m using Version 12.0.0 Build 61695
but same was on 11 versions also...
Is it requirement to deploy CUPS or IM&P to be able to use contacts? We have only CUCM deployed and use Jabber only for Phone calls.

Yes, custom contacts are stored in a table within IM&P, not on CUCM, even the new phone mode with contacts of 12.x requires CUCM and IM&P.
