Hi Guys,
Please help me on this one.
I am not able to display icons for custom embedded tabs
Here is the jabber-config.xml which I have upload to CCM.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<config version="1.0">
<Directory>
<DirectoryServerType>UDS</DirectoryServerType>
<UseWindowsCredentials>1</UseWindowsCredentials>
<PhotoUriWithToken>http://192.168.10.247/Photos/%%uid%%.jpg</PhotoUriWithToken>
</Directory>
<Client>
<jabber-plugin-config>
<browser-plugin>
<page refresh="true" preload="false">
<tooltip>Twitter</tooltip>
<url>https://mobile.twitter.com</url>
</page>
<page refresh="true" preload="false">
<tooltip>Facebook</tooltip>
<icon>http://192.168.10.247/Photos/facebook.png</icon>
<url>https://facebook.com</url>
</page>
<page refresh="true" preload="false">
<tooltip>Cisco</tooltip>
<url>https://cisco.com</url>
</page>
</browser-plugin>
</jabber-plugin-config>
</Client>
<Policies>
<Screen_Capture_Enabled>true</Screen_Capture_Enabled>
<File_Transfer_Enabled>true</File_Transfer_Enabled>
<Disallowed_File_Transfer_Types>.exe;.msi;.mp3</Disallowed_File_Transfer_Types>
<Video_Disabled>false</Video_Disabled>
</Policies>
<CUCM>
<PhoneService_UseCredentialsFrom>presence</PhoneService_UseCredentialsFrom>
</CUCM>
</config>
I have saved the .png file for icon in the same folder of web server where other pics are saved but still I am not able to display icon for "facebook". Instead what happens is the the custom tab for "facebook.com" becomes transparent (I am not able to see it but is it very much much there. When I move the cursor to over the tab it displays its name "facebook").
Please suggest what I am missing here.
Cheers,

Hi Nirmal,
Please check this post for information on embeded tab icons. Let me know if you still have no success after following the steps in the post.
Thanks,

Hi Maqsood,
Thanks for your time.
Forgive me here but I still confused with the icons. I really do not understand how to create icons for all the ten states and then combine them to one file.
I am quoting the guidelines from the other post.
"Each frame is 20 by 20 pixels in dimension. Provide 1 pixel of padding between each frame. 1 pixel of padding results in a working icon space of 19 by 19 pixels".
Is there a software which can help in creating the desired file? Please try to explain in detail.
Thanks,
Nirmal

Hi Nirmal,
Any image editor can be used to create icon. Foe example use online editor pixlr (http://pixlr.com/editor/).
Thanks,

You mean I will have to create 10 different images (.png) for the varoius states and then add those 10 mages to one single file and finally get one image with .png extension like the one you attached in the other post .
You will have to further guide me here as I do not know how to get the frames for various states in the editing software (pixlr).
Thanks,
Nirmal

Should it work for Jabber 12.9? I've tried and image 200x20 was just compressed to 20x20

Hi Maqsood,
I am finding it difficult to create small images with so many layers. Do you have any ready made Icons for using on custom tabs? It would be easier to get some common icons like Telephone, links etc.,
thank you

That multi-layer PNG didn't work on all platforms when I tried it last, and ended up with just a transparent PNG image 20x20. Better than nothing or broken image puzzle piece.
