Jabber 10.6 and Calender Integation

Hi ,

There is two way to integrate calender with Presence.

1.client side integration

2. Server side integation .

One of our customer is using outlook 2007 and planning to deploy jabber 10.6. since outlook 2007 is not supported by Jabber 10.6 i assume the client side calender integraiton is not possible. My question is if we use the server side integration (Im&Presence and Exchange integration), will the calender integation work eventhough the customer using Jabber 10.6 and Outlook 2007?

Regards

Krishna.

Hi Krishna,

If you like to do exchange integration, the meeting details are not taken from the outlook. It will be directly given to Presence server which will be pushed to jabber clients.

Exchange -- CUPS (or) IMP -- Jabber

You will have to check on Exchange and CUPS compatibility here rather than jabber and outlook compatibility. You could refer this which is for IMP version 10.5.
