Jabber 11.1 Cloud Deployment - SaveChatHistoryToExchangeOperationMode parameter

Lukas Vinkler

Hello!

I have done some testing with Jabber 11.1 in hybrid deployment (CUCM and WebEx Connect for IM) and this parameter just do nothing. Am I right that this parametr SaveChatHistoryToExchangeOperationMode in this particular deployment does nothing? And it is only for on-premises deployment?

Thanks for sharing ideas.

According to the config reference, this setting applies only to on-prem and Office365 deployments:

Yes, that is correct and I am aware of that, but there is also this documentation:

Version of Cisco Jabber for Windows

Supported Servers

10.6

Microsoft Exchange 2013

Microsoft Exchange 2010

11.0

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Exchange 2013

Microsoft Exchange 2010

But on the bottom line there is this note: This feature can only be enabled if users have a Cisco Unified Communications Manager account.

And this make me concern. As it is not so clear, I am wondering about other experience.

Hi Lukas,

You aren't the only one.    We have a major deployment stalled because of this issue.    Anyone else who can shed some light on this?   We currently have a TAC case open, but no real progress.     Hard to sell the upgrade when it breaks this feature.

Have somebody try this setup, because documentation is one thing but reality second, I am not able to do that at all.
