We are seeing a problem with Jabber and Windows 10, The issue is across multiple touch screen devices

These devices are

Surface Pro 4
LENOVO 20GG003YUK
Dell Latitude 7285
HP Pro x2 612 G2

All the devices are touch screen and have built in web cams - Windows 10 - Build - 1703-15063.608

Have tested with and without the file - jdv_setup-4-1-7-0-0226-for-win10.msi

Cant see any difference this addon makes.

We currently are not using a jabber-config.xml but dont think its related.

Softphone and IM work all the time - calls to Cisco 8845 with video seem to work all the time.

The exact fault is ..

If a jabber to jabber (on net) call is made - when the call is complete - one of the clients does not hang up the video correctly and the call remains is some shape or form. The other client hangs up fine.

The client that fails may or may not have clicked hangup.

The Faulty side - The video light remains on and a red 'hang up' symbol is visible.

The Faulty Client sees a wait loop if the options camera is selected

The Faulty client needs to reboot to fix the problem

This only seems to impact Jabber to Jabber Video Calls,

softphone and IM work perfectly.

More specifically, the clients ability to hang up or release the camera seems to be at the heart of the issue.

Any one seen this ?

Any help appreciated !

James

Just an update on this ..

I have tried Version

11-9-1

11-8-5

11-9-0

and

11-9-2

All similar problems.

I have installed 2 of the above versions on Windows 7 HP Laptops - and hey presto

Works perfectly everytime,

So long story short - Jabber Video doesn't work on windows 10 devices with multiple cameras.

I suspect the problem is Jabber not releasing the camera correctly after a call.

Don't waste your time.

and the lack of response/interest here simply confirms that.
