We have laptops that due to Intel's architecture will have a delay in establishing a network connection -- even after the user has logged into his computer. Therefore, Jabber will auto-start and not be able to connect, however, because it using a saved login, still logs into Jabber locally. The issue is that Jabber will stay in this unusable/faulted state even after the network comes online, requiring the user to sign out and and sign back in again.
Is the only solution to have Jabber not auto-start?

Anyone? Seems like Jabber should be continually trying to re-establish connection with the server, but isn't.

We have this same annoyance with our machines, especially when the user is using VPN as the user establishes a internet connection, Jabber connects over MRA, then VPN kicks in and Jabber loses its connection and doesn't always connect properly.
a delayed start option would be nice :)

So there's no way to get Jabber to continually try to re-establish connection? It's just if Jabber is running and can't connect that's it?

You can tap on the display picture and then the service then theres a “reconnect” link

Thanks, but I'm looking for an automatic solution.
