Jabber 9.0.5 login issue

Hi,

I could't login to presence server on Jabber (win7 64bits) on my PC, but I am able to login to presence server on another PC (Win2008 R2 64bits) with the same user account. So I guess it should be not a configuration issue on CUPS or CUCM. They are both using jabber v9.0.5.

From the log files which created by Jabber report, I found that Jabber try to connect to another set of CUCM servers which I logined previously but not connect to CUCM that is connected to current presence server (for example my currently CUCM server is 10.0.0.151, but it try to connect to 10.32.32.11 which is the IP address of another set CUCM).

Does any one know how could I fix this?

Regards,

Darren

Hi Maqsood,

Thanks for your reply. I still not be able to login Jabber (v9.0.5 on Win7 64-bit) after I deleted all folders at following location:

  • C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Unified Communications
  • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Cisco\Unified Communications

By the way, I had dns setup and I could ping the IP/hostname and nslookup the hostname on that win7 pc. Also I updated the new log file. Please help to investage. I will update you if I could find out something more. Thanks.

Cheers,

Darren

Hi Darren

I have asked presence team to take a look. Will update the thread when I hear from them.

Thanks,

Hi  Maqsood,

Yes, you are right. Althought I had my dns server setting and the client PC can nslookup and ping the hostname on command prompt, it is still not possible to resolve the hostname (Even I added the host entry manually to the hosts file) .

However I followed this post https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-24134 and added the client PCs to domain, it seems I could login to Jabber.

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

Darren
