Hello,
we have a UC 10.x infrastructure with some Jabber 9.x for iPhone/Android.
We would like to find a way to bind a user to a specific smartphone; in other words, we would like that a user is able to login to Jabber only if he uses its smartphone (for example, a specific iPhone), but he can't login to another device (in our example, another iPhone).
The binding could be made, for example, by using the Serial Number of the smartphone, or its IMEI, or any other univocal parameter of the device (provided it's "readable" somehow by Jabber).
Is this thing possible?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards.

The customer would need to ask their Cisco Account Manager to submit a Product Enhancemnt Request (PERS) as this is currently not a feature.
This and 2-factor authentication would be pretty cool.
Think of a 7965 phone. Maybe a pin unlock feature before being able to use the 7965? or Extension Mobiltiy only allow login from a specific phone.
well someone beat me to it..
