Jabber & Primary Extension

Running CUCM 12.5.1 & Jabber 14.0.4

Is there any point in setting primary extension?

We have UCCE 12.x and our ACD extensions will be on line one for users and DID / personal line on line 2.

Does this Primary Extension serve any purpose and if so how?

It is used, at least, to set a directory URI, and is used for provisioning/quick add.

It generates the meeting ID for Conference Now.

We use it internally when provisioning/reporting on users as "this is their number in the phone system" since the DN from the directory may not necessarily match.
