jabber application dial rules

When changing the application dial rules in cucm, do I need to restart the tftp server , or are the changes updated immediately?

Hi

With 8.6 and earlier version of CUCM, the cop file should be installed everytime whenever there is a change in dial rule and then TFTP restart. Any later version will required just tftp restart along with jabber logout and login.

Thanks for the quick response.  Can you elaborate more on where this .cop file is, and is it service impacting to the jabber clients?

yes it is cmterm-cupc-dialrule-wizard-0.1.cop.sgn. If you can download CiscoJabber-Admin-ffr.10-x-x from cco and unzip there you can get this file. There will not be any service impact. Once after the installation TFTP restart is required.
