Jabber can not control desktop phone on specific subscriber

Hello,

i am facing an issue and i am not sure where is the source of that issue.

After rollout an new CUCM 10.5 Subscribers, phones that registered on that subscriber has issus to get controlled with Jabber. After a restart of the phone everything works fine. But after a while Jabber can not control the phone anymore. Restarting the phone again, it will work again for some time.

If the phone is registered on a other subscriber i do not have that issue.

Do you have some advises for me what i can check?

Hello!

In order to isolate the problem, I would recommend you to check if the phones work fine and the only issue is when trying to control them via Jabber.

If that is the case, it seems to be a connectivity issue between the VLAN of the PCs and the CUCM Subscriber experiencing the problem.

Hence, you can start checking the firewall, switches and any other network devices that are in between your CUCM SUB and the PCs.

Make sure that the ports for CTI and SIP are not blocked as per the following deployment documentation:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/12_6/cjab_b_planning-guide-for-cisco-jabber-12-6/cjab_b_planning-guide-for-cisco-jabber-12-6_chapter_010.html#CJAB_RF_P3A082A9_00

A packet capture in the PC could let us know if there is a reset sent to or received from the CUCM.
