I've seen this question asked and answered before, but it was always in an IT admin context and using SQL Lite is no good for normal users.
We run a Lync/Jabber environment, and I'm trying to convert people over to Jabber, but one nice functionality in Lync that I can't seem to replicate in Jabber is reviewing chat history. In Lync the users get an email in their Outlook that includes conversation histories. It's nicely formatted, easy to find and read. I can't do the same thing in Jabber. They can see chat history for that day, but then it's cleared out the next day. I don't appear to have the option to extend that.
Is there an option in the Jabber config file perhaps?

nobody else got this problem? Bumping as this ias massive barrier in me tryint to get my company migrating away from the dreaded Lync! I can't start eductaing every user on how to use SQL Lite to view their histories when at the moment they can just use Outlook!
