Jabber Client Login and Login Issues

Hello all,

I have a problem with Jabber.

Although Inside Jabber works properly with both Ldap and local users, for users Outside of my premises the Jabber works fine only for local users. Ldap users cannot connect to Jabber.

We didn't change anything to the configurations.

The problem starts yesterday for no reason. DNS translations works properly for the Expressway-E

You have any idea why this happens?

What is the error they are receiving?

The message is that: the server is temporary unavailable, try again later or contact your system administrator if the problem still exist.

Something like that.

Have you verified your SRV records and DNS?

Do you see the login attempt in EXP-E?

What troubleshooting have you done?

Run the Collab Analyzer and let us know the resuts.

Sounds like a DNS or SRV issue to me.

Thank you all for your reply.
My client just informed me that the problem was solved.
Probably the problem was that they changed some users passwords and the 2 LDAP servers doesn't synchronized each other until now.
I can't see some other reason...
What do you thing?
Have you faced something like that before?

Thank you!

AV

Just a guess ... if DNS changes have been made (???), this might be the root cause of the issue you have been facing ... you can expect a DNS propagation or refresh time of up to 24 hours or more.

Another guess is that you might be hitting a bug ... just two questions:

  • what's the Expressway release your are running?
  • do you have OAuth refresh login enabled?
