Jabber for iPhone 9.5 Directory integration

Hello,

I perform some tests to integrate Jabber for iPhone on my company but actually, I have a problem with Directory.

I'm not able to find a person on Ldap directory by Jabber on my iPhone. I use the same jabber-config file than Jabber for windows.

Below, you can find an exemple of directory configuration on jabber config file.

Someone can help me?

Many thanks in advance!

Sébastien

Helo Sebastian.

I haver the same problem here with IM & presence 9. Directory search used to work with any other older jabber version.

Were you able to solve this issue?

Sebastian,

Directory Integration config changed on Jabber version 9.5.

It is documented in the release notes.

Directory Configuration

Directory integration for on-premises deployments is now configured using a global configuration file instead of using settings on the device page in the Cisco Unified CM Administration interface.

For more information about configuration differences, see the Configuration Differences when Upgrading Cisco Jabber topic of the Installation and Configuration Guide for this release.

For information about directory integration, see the Configure the Client and Integrate with Directory Sources chapters of the Installation and Configuration Guide.

Hi Flavio,

Thanks for update!

I know that  integration of Directory has been changed on version 9.5. I configured the jabber-config file (you can see on the first post) but I don't see any request from the client to the directory.

Are you still the same issue?

Thanks,

Sébastien

Hi Sebastian,

I've been trying to solve the problem. No success yet.

Did you try opening the file with Internet Explorer? Does it open alright?

http://tftp_server_address:6970/jabber-config.xml

I ma having the same issue as well running latest UCM/IMP 9.1 with Jabber for iPhone 9.5.

All Jabber iPhone functions work OK except for Directory integration, which also means no click to dial functionality as those contacts originally imported as favourites on the 9.2 version no longer have phone number details as they cannot reference the LDAP. Local iPhone contacts can be dialed OK.

Below is what I have in the XML file:

  BDI

  192.168.100.10

  192.168.100.11

  domain.local

  3268

  3268

  OU=Users,DC=domain,DC=local

  OU=Stores,DC=domain,DC=local

  sAMAccountName

Have tried LDAP port 389 as well to no avail.

Any advice welcome.

Rob
