Under Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, the Mac has the ability to connect with an iPhone for dialing phone numbers. The way it does this is by having the OS recognize a phone number and it gives the user the ability to click a new drop-down menu to dial the number via a linked iPhone.
The problem is that when I click on the drop-down and dial - instead of the Mac opening Apple's Messages application to have the iPhone dial, Jabber opens and fails to do anything - except show an error.
If you then go into the Messages application and look at the preferences - you will see the "Default IM Application" has been changed from Messages to Messages + Jabber.
That should be a configuration option in Jabber, as I do not want Jabber as my default IM application.
Thanks in advance for any/all help,
Brian

There is a preferences to select the app to make a all in FaceTime -> preferences.
However it looks like Jabber for Mac reset this preference setting to Jabber overtime you start it!

I had tried that too and that is the reason I asked for Jabber to have this option to the user to change. As you see/stated, Jabber always changes the setting every time it launches to itself. It needs to be like a browser that says "I'm not the default IM application. Do you want me to be the default? Yes/No".

Has anyone found a tag in the config files for Jabber that can be removed to resolve this issue?

The problem is still there in 11.1.1. It appears to take the change, but go back to preferences and Jabber is again the default.
Anyone figure a work around?
