Jabber for Windows client settings

I currently have jabber for windows without service discovery running on cm8.6 /presence 8.6    I am migrating to cm/imp  10.5   , and doing a site by site migration, rather than all at once.   Is it possible to enable MRA only on the external side, until all  my sites are rolled over?

Also, currently my client is has the radio button checked for presence, and specifies the 8.x presence server.   What would this look like on the internal side when moving to 10.x?  Would I still point to presence, or would I check the radio button CUCM 9 and above?

thanks

MRA is supposed to only work from the outside... so, no idea what you're asking here.

For the other questions, read here:

Thanks for the response.  Im talking about service discovery.  Can I set this up only on the external side?

I have manually configured clients on cup/cm 8.x , no service discovery, working internally only.   Im moving to 10.x, and would like to enable MRA with service discovery.   if I enable it internaly , via DNS, as well, then my  internal clients still on 8.x wont work until they are moved over.

You're supposed to only configure MRA SRVs on the outside... have you reviewed the MRA guides?????

They go through this in all detail, what you should configure inside, and what you require outside.
