Jabber for Windows - Photo URI

Hi All,

We are testing with Photo URI substitution for Photo retrival in Jabber Windows. Unfortunately Photo not retrived in jabber windows.

below are the my configuration.

<Directory>

  <PhotoUriSubstitutionEnabled>true</PhotoUriSubstitutionEnabled>

  <PhotoUriSubstitutionToken>sAMAccountName</PhotoUriSubstitutionToken>

  <PhotoUriWithToken>https://company/images/ProfileImages/%%sAMAccountName%%.gif</PhotoUriWithToken>

  </Directory>

My Directory type EDS.

Hi,

There should be no %% in the "PhotoUriWithToken" attribute.

https://company/images/ProfileImages/sAMAccountName.gif

I guess by "My Directory type EDS", you mean "My Directory type EDI" ?

We have tried with

https://company/images/ProfileImages/sAMAccountName.gif

but still the result is same.some supportforums threds mention like we have to add Photouri source as well but no go.

Below are the options we have tried in Jabber config file.

Option 1

   sAMAccountName

   true

   sAMAccountName

   https://company/images/ProfileImages/%%sAMAccountName%%.gif

  <\Directory>

Option 2

   sAMAccountName

   true

   sAMAccountName

   https://company/images/ProfileImages/sAMAccountName.gif

  <\Directory>

Option 3

   true

   sAMAccountName

   https://company/images/ProfileImages/%%sAMAccountName%%.gif

  <\Directory>

Option 4

      true

   sAMAccountName

   https://company/images/ProfileImages/sAMAccountName.gif

  <\Directory>

Option 5

    true

   sAMAccountName

   https://company/images/ProfileImages/%%uid%%.gif

  <\Directory>

In all the case no luck for us. There is no issue with URI . We can retrive the Photo wih URL.

Hi,

Please check if you are hitting this known issue:

CSCua68881 : Unable to create photos - file path contains a special char

If this is not the problem, then I suggest to open a TAC case for further assistance.
