Hi,
Customer is planning to install the Jabber Guest on their exiting VCS Expressway environment. We can understand the Port translation that required for the Jabber Guest to work.
But customer is coming back with their FW policy and saying as below.
"As discussed over phone, it is a policy that the university border firewall does not do any inbound translation, so we could not do exactly what the Cisco document proposed.
In the university standard, we are using F5 load balancer to translate client port/server port"
Can they use the F5 Load balancer to do the Port translation? is there any configuration guide about how to configure the F5 for jabber guest port translation?.
Thanks
Chris

Certainly, the F5 could do the port translation. It handles PAT just fine..just like a firewall would. I don't think Cisco provides documentation on how to do it, but their F5 engineers should know.
