Jabber on Windows 7

Hello,

We have 8.5 voice environment. We have Jabber deployed. Jabber on iPhone works fine as we get inbound calls and can make outbound calls. Jabber on Windows, we can make internal 4 digit calls, but we can not make outbound calls. If we get outside call to our Desk phone, Jabber do ring and we can answer. We can do all the functions of Jabber on PC except make outbound call. It goes to fast busy if we try to dial outside number.

Anyone has faced this issue and resolved, please share your thoughts.

Are you using H.323 gateways?

Can you post up a copy of your configuration from the outbound gateway, and also do a 'debug isdn q931' whilst making the outbound call?

A common fix for this issue is to apply 'bearer-cap speech' as per this example (for CUVA, but it's possibly the same issue):

also switch off G722 advertisement in the enterprise wide parameters in CUCM. ISDN doesnt how how to deal with it as it's G711

We had the same issue and had to add bearer-cap speech to the voice ports on the gateway. basically what happens is Jabber always try to force video even over PSTN. There is a option in the jabber options , where only start calls with audio is available to you, but we found that this did not make any difference, and we had to add the bearer-cap speech. We added this command in during the day with no impact to active calls...

Hello Guys,

Thank you all for your input and support. I applied Bearer-cap speech command to one of our Voice-Port 0/0/0:23 and now jabber is able to make outbound calls.

One last question, should i add this command to rest of our voice ports, 0/0/1:23, 0/1/0:23, 0/1/1:23?
