Jabber Outlook intergration

Hello Everyone!

When Jabber is intergrated with Outlook is it possible to force the business IP phone field (AD field and internal extension) to be the default phone number as oppose to the full DID phone number within Outlook when Jabber is intergrated? I know this is possible when modifying the jabber-config.xml file from within the Jabber client but need to force this setting from within Outlook as well when Jabber is intergrated. Is this possible? Any suggestions/solutions are appreciated. Thank you!

as far as i understand the default mapping of the business phone field is done with the telephone number field; if you want outlook to get this forced for every AD contact information; you will need to figure out a way to get this first corrected in the Global address book.

Have you spoken with MS about how this kind of mapping is possible; as outlook will ( if jabber is not turned on) sync information in outlook contact cards through the global address list.
