Jabber Softphone disconnects while on VPN

Is there documentation regarding Jabber Softphone configuration while on VPN?  Users softphone disconnects and the user has to log off/on.

No, there is nothing in Jabber documentation related to the kind of connectivity you use for Jabber.

Jabber assumes connectivity between the client and the CUCM/IM&P servers will be provided via the underlying network and all necessary ports will be open.
