No Jabber presence "on a call" for users with extension mobility

Hi Folks,

Our presence in Jabber 9.6/9.7 for Windows works fine in that everyone who has a meeting in Outlook is shown as "in a meeting", everyone who is away either due to a locked workstation or 15 minutes inactive shows as away, and users with a specified CTI device in CUCM 9 show are on the phone show as "on the phone", but users who are logged into a phone with extension mobility don't appear as "on the phone" when they are.

This effectively means that our users who sit at one desk and have a specified CTI device work fine, but our hotdesking users that log into a phone and PC that is available do not.

Why might this be the case?

For anyone wondering, this is caused by the CUCM user not having an extension that CUCM uses to determine presence (it uses the Device ID if one exists, and the extension otherwise).  A bat transaction to update all users' directory numbers sorted it out.
