No softphone option

Forgive me, I am a CUCM rookie, usually use a 3rd party for all my setups. But, I just installed the Cisco Jabber 9.2 on a Windows machine and there is no option to make a call or softphone. But, when I install Jabber for Mac on my Mac it works just fine.

Does that sound like something obvious that I am missing in the Call Manager setup? Everything works fine with the old version of Personal Communicator on Windows.

CUCM version?

J4W does require some extra steps like the .xml config file

Have you created the CSF device??

Associated line/device/user??
