Operating system is not presently configured...

Hello,

since a few days I get the error "operating system is not presently configured to run this application" everytime Jabber starts.

The message appears twice at Jabber startup and can be clicked away. Jabber runs fine, but the "Meet now" button for WebEx is useless.

This problem only occurs in combination with Office 365 (2016). Eventlog says:

Faulting application name: wbxcOIEx.exe, Version: 722.2012.10.8, time stamp: 0x56cc1205

Faulting module name: OLMAPI32.DLL, Version: 16.0.6769.6521, time stamp: 0x56f52fc8

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Fault offset: 0x00152d03

Faulting process ID: 0x103c

Faulting application start time: 0x01d1a9fdd8c4b964

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\Cisco Jabber\wbxcOIEx.exe

Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Root\Office16\OLMAPI32.DLL

Jabber Version is 11.6

Happens with Windows 8.1 and 10 alike.

I searched the web already, but haven't found anything relating this problem.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and/or may have a solution for this?

Regards,

Ray

I am getting the same issue?

I have updated to a newer build of Office 365. Now the problem is gone. We are currently using 16.0.6868.2060 for Office 365.

What package of O365 are you using? I am running Pro Plus and my version is 16. 0. 6001. 1078. Says there are no updates available for mine.

How are you updating Office365? Directly via Microsoft or through a server share? If you are updating through a share you have to download the latest build and update your share first.

Directly Via Microsoft.

Then you are using the "Deferred Channel" for updates. It provides new builds every four months only, instead of every month from the "Current Channel"

You can have a look at here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/mt465751.aspx

There you see that the "Deferred Channel" is currently providing the version you are using.

I have the same issue, is there a fix??

My next course of action is to download the O365 GPO's so I can set myself to current channel updates and see if this fixes the issue. I am a 1 man shop so it is hard to get to some things like this. I will update when I try it.

I have the same issue. Running Jabber 11.6 on Windows 10 Pro with Office 365 Pro Plus version 16.0.6001.1078. When checking for office updates, it says there are none available.
