Reading article so30qz
Our company will be enforcing passwords at the end of the day on our Webex site and we are on the latest version of Webex. I have a few questions after reading the article and how it impacts our meetings and attendees for any meetings scheduled today now that this is change is implemented.
1. Since we do not require passwords today, is a password supposed to appear on the invite if we schedule a meeting today or do we have to manually add a password?
2. How attendees are impacted for meetings scheduled before we enforce passwords on our site.
a. Join experience section of article states only those who join a meeting from webex.com (web) will be required to provide a password. But, the affected meetings section of the article states password enforcement applies to guests joining through the desktop app or the web app for meetings. Cisco has the desktop app automatically downloading for guests who join Webex meetings, so wouldn't this impact all guest users joining our meetings scheduled today? Could you
clarify the these two sections?

Hi,
Recently I have attended Cisco webinar on this topic and here are the comments:
1. Since we do not require passwords today, is a password supposed to appear on the invite if we schedule a meeting today or do we have to manually add a password?
--> All latest Webex sites are going to be configured to automatically add passwords for any new meetings, events, or training sessions invites. Password enforcement doesn’t affect the meeting join experience of attendees. Participants can easily join a meeting by clicking on the URL in the meeting invitation through email or through the Webex Meetings mobile app, without requiring passwords. Users who enter the meeting number on the web page to join a meeting are required to enter passwords.
2. How attendees are impacted for meetings scheduled before we enforce passwords on our site.
--> Password enforcement is only available for meetings scheduled after Jan. 10, 2020. The meetings scheduled before this date are not affected.
