Presence Viewer for User Error - Application User presencevieweradmin configuration of roles needed

Hello All,

 

I am unable to use the link "Presence Viewer for User" in CUCM End User Management. I receive an error/alert "No privilege or failed to login to retrieve Presence Viewer information." I think this is because there is no role assigned to the Application User named presencevieweradmin, but I do not know which roles need to be assigned for this application to function properly. The only other discussion on the forums I could find relating to this topic circled around the password of the application user. While I do not know if the password is set correctly (was set up by prior employee), I am thinking the application user must first be applied to a specific role that will allow this function. When I check the User Privilege Report on the application user named presencevieweradmin, I see no roles assigned.

Hi,

The application user "presencevieweradmin" is created as a part of CUCM installation and it has no roles assigned. I don't think you need to assign any roles to it. 

As a CUCM Administrator, I have "Standard CCM Super Users" role assigned to my end user account and I can access the Presence Viewer for Users. You can try using this role to your account.

These bugs seem to be similar but not the same issue. I have the CCM Standard Super Users group defined in my permissions.

 

Alert:

No privilege or failed to login to retrieve Presence Viewer information.
