Can anyone explain me how the contact search works?
Will be needed a connection between the Jabber client and Exchange/Office365, or only a connection between the Jabber client and Outlook?

Local contacts stored in Microsoft Outlook are accessed by Cisco Jabber for Windows.
Local contacts stored in IBM Notes are accessed by Cisco Jabber for Windows (from release 11.1).
Local address book contacts are accessed by Cisco Jabber for Mac, Cisco Jabber for Android and Cisco Jabber for iPhone and iPad.

thanks for the quick reply.
In recent weeks we have problems with Jabber: suddenly contact search (also UDS from CUCM) doesn't work although the connection to CUCM is OK.
We have disable local contact search and the problems are solved, but the this feature is very comfortableand the users need that.
I have just found this bug, and it would seem our problem (we are using virtual desktops), but in out Outlook Exchanged Chached is enabled.

I'm wondering if there can be some other problems with the connection between Jabber and Outlook/Exchange(Office365), For these reason my question.
