Testing Jabber in a lab

OK, I know it is simple and I am just missing it, but here is my scenario:

Production CUCM 12.5 with IM&P using DNS SRV Records

Production Unity Connection

Jabber 11.6

Lab CUCM 12.5 with LAB IM&P, no DNS (Same Network as production)

Test Jabber 12.7 and need to point it to LAB box, but client keeps picking up DNS SRV for servers.

I tried specify the info in bootstrap on installation, but it does not work.

What am I missing and how do I correct?

After reading the doc again, I found the solution. Adding the "UPN_DISCOVERY_ENABLED=false" to the MSI install resolved the issue. Then I was able to access the Advanced Settings and manually configure the client.

Hello Doug

ILS might be a solution for you. See here on page 9 https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=2ahUKEwiHkaf1pdzkAhXOUJoKHe5aBSYQFjAAegQIAhAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fcommunity.cisco.com%2Fkxiwq67737%2Fattachments%2Fkxiwq67737%2F5961-discussions-ip-telephony%2F378195%2F1%2Fjabber_impl...

You can also specify manually the servers when you logout of Jabber and reset to factory default.

Another way would be to take another domain for your lab.

Hope this helps

Peter
