Webex — Additional Audio Options

Until recently, WebEx offered multiple audio options when scheduling a meeting — including "No Audio", and "Use Another Service".  The "Use Other" option would then provide a text box to include instructions for a third party service or to provide a call-in number.  This was helpful in a number of situations.  First, it's quite common for us to use WebEx as a way to simply share our screen with someone else, one on one, and it's sometimes preferable to simply call us directly.  In other circumstances, we may have a number of remote people who are using WebEx to join an existing "in person" meeting — and it's preferably to tie them into an existing conference call rather than to have the in-person meeting join the WebEx audio.

While we can certainly provide instructions via a separate email, not including this information in the meeting invite itself creates confusion and adds extra steps.

I certainly understand that WebEx is trying to provide a full wrap-around service it's important to understand that in order for it to fit well in all workflows it needs to be flexible.
