WebEx Teams webcam issue

I am having issues getting my webcam working with the WebEx teams desktop app. However I am able to resolve these issues by changing my default web browser. Does someone know how the WebEx teams app is brokering its connection? Is it doing this via a web browser?

When you go into your settings > Video do you get the self view of the camera. Is the correct camera selected?
