I've clicked Teams in the Spark menu and created a team. It adds a room in my Rooms list, but I can't see any difference between it and a regular team room. Is this just another option for creating a team room other than clicking the + at the top of the Rooms list?
With Teams, you can organize your rooms as if they were a 'program' with the main Team Room being the anchor, and all subsequent Rooms as tracks (think file cabinet with drawers). Its a way for a team of folks who have multiple rooms to see all of the rooms that the team is a part of and join the ones they need to participate in.
Thank you! That's really helpful.
Steve - are "teams" customer facing yet? i have a customer asking me for more information about "teams" - how to get access to this organizational tool, etc. Is it in both the free and paid version? How do i get them more info? Thanks!
Hey Melissa
Team view is now customer facing.

Is it only for the premium or paid versions of Spark? I'm not seeing it in the free version.
I think I am seeing it because the user I have configured is a C2 user.

Good to know. It must be an option for a paid version of Spark. Which makes sense to me.
Thanks for your help!
Who can confirm this feature is only available in the paid version?
Marcus, where did you see this published that this is now GA? Typically features like this show up in client release notes, help/support pages, etc. when they reach GA.
Perhaps an actual Cisco employee could comment because to my knowledge this is not yet GA.
In a Cisco Spark lab. A few SE's stated it was GA last week but it was pulled. Right now it's internal to Cisco but will be GA again "soon". Most guys here thought it was GA and didn't know it was pulled again.

Teams is a new feature that is/will be part of the Cisco Spark application. The typical process for a new feature is that it will roll out to Cisco folks, EFT partners/customers, then general availability to everyone. Right now Teams is at the Cisco folks only phase. When a feature shows up at the following link then it is general availability:

Will it be possible to move already existing chats to teams?
If I create a chat in a team, does a member of this chat also needs to be member of the team?
Thanks
Marc
Target for release is in a couple weeks.
