I understand J4W 10.6(x) detects new locations based on the mac address of the default gateway of the network it is running on. Where does it store the last known mac-address location information? Perhaps in registry keys?
Would be nice if you to pre-populate this on install for known locations to standardise the name of the location, or new locations by pushing keys via group policy.

That bug says there is no fix planned.
Is there any information on when we might be able to configure locations on the server?

Hi,
Anyone heard of any update of when/if the pre-populating of locations will be possible?
Thanks

We're very interested in this as well. User-entered location names of known office locations easily gets out of hand: HQ, Main Office, Work, La La Land, Job, Cubicle, etc.
Would be nice to force some location names.

Is there any indication that this will be added in the future?
