Not sure this is exactly the right forum for this, but I have a client that is looking to
fully lock down the 7925 phones. We have "Disabled" the "Setting
Access" which prevents users from changing ring tones and volume, but a
few savy users have discovered holding dow the "*" key will put the
phone into "Vibrate". Any way to programatically (or otherwise) block this?
On a similar note, is there a
way to programatically change the ring tone? Change
based on inbound caller? Must be a way as there is the Phone
Customization widget...

Not aware of any way to disable '*' vibrate mode. XML Services Interface API will not offer anything special in that regard.
Some of the changes made by the customization widget do send messages to the phone - for example updating the background screen - but those messages have not been officially docuemented/supported.
