I had the same issue with a Profile Dual 65 running TC5.1.2 software.  after upgrading to TC 5.1.3 the problem went away

Hi Jarrod,

that is good to hear.
We did a further improvement in the same way on TC5.1.3, as we observed that some cameras still experienced problems when recalling presets with TC5.1.2.

I was a bit quick in my reply: The new and further improved camera SW has not been release yet, but will be released in upcoming TC6.

We have recently installed 3 executive VTC rooms with C60/90 codecs and precision HD Cameras (2 to 4 cameras in daisychain). We are experiencing the same problem in all 3 rooms. When the presets are recalled the camera position is gradually drifting off - in most cases vertically. The camera would go to a preset, but it would end up shooting to high or too low. This happens within 10-15 minutes of saving the presets, but at first the stored camera positions appear to be fine when recalled. All software has been updated to the latest versions for codecs and ALL the cameras. We are using AMX control system and voice activated switching to recall presets, however the problem is still there when control system is disconnected and remote is used. Also the presets are off when system wakes up. Reboot would sometimes fix this issue, but only for a few minutes untill the cameras start drifting again.
PLEASE HELP!

Boris,

are you saying that:

1) you activate a preset position for cameras
2) leave everything as is for 10-15 minutes
3) the cameras have now drifted away from their positions?

or:

1) Store a preset position for cameras
2) leave everything as is for 10-15 minutes
3) recall camera preset?
4) The cameras are no longer at the position they were stored for in step 1) ?

What do you mean by "Also the presets are off when system wakes up."
Do you mean you use xConfiguration Standby WakeupAction: Preset<1-15> ? and it does not work or are the cameras not moving to the correct preset positions?

We could get more info from you if you do the following:

1) Store a preset the way you want the cameras to be positioned
2) issue "xstatus Camera Position" and save the values
3) register the feedback expression "xfeedback register status/camera/position"
4) wait a while and see if the camera positions change
5) recall the same camera preset - any position updates?
6) issue "xstatus Camera Position" again and compare the values from step 2. They should be the same.

David, Tank you for your reply!

No, nothing happens if presets are not recalled

or:

1) Store a preset position for cameras
2) leave everything as is for 10-15 minutes
3) recall camera preset? Yes
4) The cameras are no longer at the position they were stored for in step 1) ?
Yes, this is exactly what happens

What do you mean by "Also the presets are off when system wakes up."
Do you mean you use xConfiguration Standby WakeupAction: Preset<1-15> ? and it does not work or are the cameras not moving to the correct preset positions?
If we let the codec go to standby the cameras are not moving to the correct position after system wakes up

We will try this as soon as we can get access to the rooms
Thanks again
David

Hi Boris,

with newly released TC5.1.2 the PrecisionHD 12x Camera SW (ID40076) has been updated and should now be more robust when recalling presets.

Are you experiencing any issues after upgrading to this version?

Cheers,

Jonas
