I am using CTIOS toolkit 8.5, non-mobile agent.
One of my customers would like to be able to start a consult transfer, but before the second party answers, be able to release the call from the agent's screen and the transfer would be completed as a single-step transfer.
I tried it in the sample CTIOS softphone .net app and when I did the release, it released the orginal caller, but still rang through to the second party.
Is something like that possible?

That’s not possible. You would have to release the consult and then single step transfer the call. You cant turn a consult call into a single step transfer.
