Hi,
I want to migrate my current ctios application (built on the 7.2.5 ctios toolkit) to 7.5.8 . What is involved in this? Can I import my visual studio 2003 vb project straight into 2005 and make the necessary changes once the import is complete?
Regards,
Brian

I haven't tried this but I don't know of any reason why Microsoft's
conversion of a VS 2003 project to VS 2005 wouldn't work.  You should
really be able to just recompile at go.  If you do have to make any
changes to your code that uses either the CTIOS COM Cil or .NET Cil it
would be helpful if you would post them here.

Thanks David... I am hoping I will just have to import the vs2003 project into vs2005 and perhaps just make minor changes to the code.
I will post an update here once I've tried this out.

I import them all the time. You don't have to use VS2005 either you can use vs2008 or vs2010 I use both every day. If you want to be anal about it you can target .NET 2.0 but since 3.X and 4.X are binary reverse compatible with 2.0 you shouldn't have any problems using later versions. I have hundreds of clients using 3.5, 3.5.1 with no reports of problems. Its up to you which target you use and what level of "supportability" from Cisco you would like to adhear to but you can use any version of VS to create 2.0 apps. Just go to the project properties and in the Target Framework choose 2.0. The compiler will then only use 2.0.
