CUCM supports auto recording as well as application controlled recording. JTAPI provides API to start/stop recording if you have got application controlled recording configured. For recording the calls you would need a recorder h/w/
More details on how to use recording feature via JTAPI are available in Recording and Monitoring feature in JTAPI Developer guide for release 6.x and above. I am assuming you have an understanding of how JTAPI applications work with JTAPI interfaces.
