We are using WebEx Social REST APIs in our apps. However all REST
APIs works fine on WebEx Social instance where SSO is disabled, but if we
enable SSO on same instance API fails.
We get HTTP 401 error for the very first API to get access token
i.e. [url=http://server[:port_number]/quadopen/oauth/xauth_access_token]http://server[:port_number]/quadopen/oauth/xauth_access_token
As this API is failing on SSO enabled WebEx Social instance we are
not able to proceed with the xAuth Authentication for REST API calls and not
able to call any other REST API.
We tried to connect Cisco Quad 2.5.3.1.337 iPad application with
SSO enabled WebEx Social 3.0 instance, but that application is not working with
SSO enabled WebEx Social instance. It gives error "The Username or
password you entered is incorrect. Try again". However user name and
password are correct. Same iPad application works fine if we disable SSO from
WebEx Social instance.
We faced similar problem in Cisco Quad 2.5.2 as well.
Description of attached files:
1. WebEx Social 3.0_sso_enabled_instance_log.txt : Contains logs
for HTTP(s) traffic captured between application and WebEx Social instance,
where SSO was enabled on WebEx Social instance.
2. Cisco iPad app 2.5.3.1.337 log.txt: Contains logs for HTTP(s)
traffic captured between iPad and WebEx Social instance, where SSO was enabled
on WebEx Social instance.
We are using:
WebEx
Social Version 3.0.1.10000.194
Cisco iPad app 2.5.3.1.337

Hi Laxmi,

SSO configuration should be only applicable for requests going directly to portal. Since this is an API request, the requests should directly go to the LDAP. Can you confirm the following -
  1. If the requests are reaching the quad server
  2. If LDAP is enabled when SSO is turned on
Thanks,
Adrienne
