Hello

I'm triing to write a call logger application.

I have a CiscoTerminalConnection that meets the preconditions:

- ((this.getTerminal()).getProvider()).getState == Provider.IN_SERVICE
- this.getCallControlState() == CallControlTerminalConnection.TALKING
- ((CiscoProviderCapabilities)(this.getTerminal().getProvider().getProviderCapabilities()).canRecord() == TRUE
- this.getConnection().getAddress().getRecordingConfig(this.getTerminal()) == CiscoAddress.APPLICATION_CONTROLLED__RECORDING

When the method startRecording() is called, the application raises an exception:

com.cisco.jtapi.PlatformExceptionImpl: Start Recording request failed: com.cisco.cti.client.CCNException

What are the possible causes for this exception?

Can you attach the JTAPI logs for this test?  Please configure detailed-level, all types.

I do not see any exceptions or failures in the attached log file. Are you sure it is the correct one?

Sorry, the newly attached file is the log that has the exception.

Sorry, the newly attached file is the log that has the exception.

This is a generic exception from CTI (the layer below us), that could mean several things. The most common issues here are a codec mismatch, or that the recording server isn't configured properly to accept the recording call.

Please ensure that your codecs are all set up properly, and whatever you have configured as your recording server is accessible, and properly configured.

If you'd like to drill down to exactly what the cause of this would be, we would need to get CCM SDL traces from your CUCM, and forward them along to the CTI team.

I'm using UCM 7.1.2

I need to get the UCM logs via Real Time Monitoring Tool. I've choosen System/Trace & Log Central/Collect files.

The "Collect files" wizard opens, but I can't click on finish, it looks locked or something.

Any ideas are appreciated!

Thanks in advance
