Created by: John Salter on 27-07-2012 11:02:54 AM Hello. I am a CSE supporting a large customer who is supported by an integrator. The integrator is asking for the updated module for Crestron to support TC5.1. I looked around and can not seem to locate the updated module. Any ideas? Thanks.

Actually there are several commands that don't work -- example - "Answer incoming Call" -- I have opened the module and this is looking for a totally different string than what at TC5.xxx codec responds with....
You'll have to show me what you are getting and what you think the module is looking for. I wrote the module and I am also responsible for the backwards compatibility of the codec API and there should not be any changes... Cheers, David

Not sure if this is still an open issue. I recently upgraded the C40 here at our office to TC5.1.4 and have not experienced any issues with the Crestron modules utilized here. I am currently using Crestron Module v1.3 via serial.
Would be willing to run a few tests to assist if required but testing incoming calls as described above without any issues.
Hope this helps,
Jon Drennan

Subject: RE: TC5.1 module for Crestron? Replied by: David Bruun-Lie on 02-04-2013 08:56:14 AM Binesh, once you have the ISDN link paired up with the codec you can use the same commands to call ISDN calls as SIP/H323 only difference is that you HAVE to specify Protocol:320 in dial string. E.g.: "xCommand dial number:12345 Protocol:h320"

10:47:20 - 06-18-2013: VTC01_TCPIP_RX$ -> getnameinfo: localhost: Success\x0A 10:47:20 - 06-18-2013: VTC01_TCPIP_RX$ -> Temporary failure in name resolution: Success\x0A
It appears it wants the Crestron to tell it something. IP? DNS? Is there a check box that disables this int he Cisco or a command I can respond with that will shut it up?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Jeremy

This is a known issue and has been discussed here, and is being tracked by Cisco Bug number CSCue72551. Updating to the latest firmware should fix the issue.
Hope this helps, Joe

Replied by: Jeremy Tuttle on 21-06-2013 08:32:29 AM Ok not sure if my problem was indeed the above "known issue" but once we set the SX20's DNS information it worked fine. It also looks like once you upgrade to the new firmware you have to set a password so the module needs to match that as well.

Yep, that sounds like the same issue. They discovered that the codec would act that way when it couldn't find the DNS.

Also, we discovered that you can keep the default password and get rid of the warning message if you change the password to something else first, then put it back to the default.
