Using DTMF and ASR on the same application !

Hi Experts,

We have a customer who have a CVP VXML application that was working perfectly with just DTMF as the input mode and you tried adding a function which uses ASR as input mode.

Before the application's Voicexml Gateway was selected as "CVP 4.1/7.0/8.0 VoiceXML 2.1 with Cisco DTMF". To enable to use of ASR
functionalty the customer have changed it to "Cisco Unified CVP 4.1/7.0/8.0 VoiceXML 2.1 with Nuance 8.5"

Now as it has 2 input modes in the same application, the application is trying to detect speech when they are expecting an input as DTMF. We want to confirm whether it is possible to have both the modes in the same application or not? If yes how to achieve the same?

Hi Anusha,

Can you please try using Form element and select input mode as both .

This can cater for both voice and dtmf .
