Vocie format converting

We are recording our new prompts of our new application.
Until now, i have converted these files using Soundforge product using the onversion parameters simply :
CCITT u-Law , 8.000 kHz ; 8 bit ; Mono.
Is there a conversion script laid out by Cisco or someone else processing some additional operaitons like noise reduction, normalising volume level, keeping the silence time prior or after the message at a fixed amount of time etc.
These are hard to impliment for a developer.

not sure I completly understand your problem, but if it's related to batch processing on audio files, I use sox or Goldwave, but I thought that Soundforge would offer the same option.
I hope that helped.

I can't speak for Cisco as a whole, but CVP does not provide such tools since they're not really part of our core competency and there are so many good ones out there.

Are you recording the prompts also in CVP. For batch processing outside of CVP, we are using Soundforge. At runtime, if you need to convert on the fly we have a little JMF code that we developed to do format conversion and Noise Reduction.
Hope this helps.
