I have recently come across a problem when trying to integrate a JTAPI application with 7931 IP Phones.
It appears to allow CTI control, they must be configured in "no rollover mode", which means that they cannot transfer or conference either via CTI of on the handset.
Does anyone know the reason for this or if there is a workaround?

So from 7.1.2 onwards will this model appear behave just like any other CTi controllable phone?

Hi Stewart,
FYI., the phone model 7931 is the 'Goped' device. Cisco JTAPI will be able to monitor / control the 7931 phone when the device is configured as non-rollover mode. But JTAPI will not support 7931 configured with rollover mode. When 7931 phone with rollover mode is added into the User's CTI control list, JTAPI will treat the phone as CTI restricted device and will not expose the phone / line to the JTAPI application.
For JTAPI, the 7931 phones are supported in roll over mode from 7.1.2 onwards. Prior to 7.1.2 version if the phone is configured in roll ver mode it will show as restricted.

Yes... you are right. The user will have to check an extra User role "Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Rollover Mode" to control these phones in rollOver mode from 7.1.2 release.
