Core Issue

7960 SIP IP Phones do not support custom softkeys in which the corporate directory uses. SIP phone s has a limitation of customized layout. For 7940-7960 SCCP phones, softkey s layout of these softkeys can be altered while for 7940/7960 SIP phones, layout of  default soffkeys  is fixed.

Resolution

You should use a script without  customize softkeys . Such kind of scripts will work smoothly across both phones.You need to remove certain tags from the XML file, for example "".
