Resolution

These settings are required in the SIPDefault.cnf configuration file:

  •    # Time Server There are multiple values and configurations. Refer to the Admin Guide for Specifics.

  •    sntp_server This is the IP Address of the SNTP server.

  •    sntp_mode: directedbroadcast This can be unicast, multicast, anycast, or directedbroadcast, the default.

  •    time_zone: MST This is the time zone of the location of the phone.

  •    dst_offset: 1 This is the offset from the time of the phone when DST is in effect.

  •    dst_start_month: March This is the month in which DST starts.

  •    dst_start_day: "" This is the day of the month in which DST starts.

  •    dst_start_day_of_week: Sun This is the day of the week in which DST starts.

  •    dst_start_week_of_month: 2 This is the week of the month in which DST starts.

  •    dst_start_time: 02 This is the time of day in which DST starts.

  •   dst_stop_month: Nov This is the month in which DST stops.

  •    dst_stop_day: "" This is the day of the month in which DST stops.

  •   dst_stop_day_of_week: Sunday This is the day of the week in which DST stops.

  •    dst_stop_week_of_month: 1 This is the week of the month in which DST stops. Use 8 for the last week of the month.

  •    dst_stop_time: 2 This is the time of day in which DST stops.

  •   dst_auto_adjust: 1 This setting enables or disables automatic adjustment. Use 1 in order to enable it and 0 in order to disable it. 1 is the default.

  •   time_format_24hr: 1 This enables and disables the 24 hour format for time. Use 1 in order to enable the 24 hour format and 0 in order to disable it and use the 12 hour format. This setting is enabled by default.

Note: The dst_offset setting does not change automatically based on the standard U.S. values. When the dst_auto_adjust option is enabled, it adjusts the clock based on the other dst_* options. Also, the phones must be reset in order for the changes to take affect.
